Hymans Robertson Glasgow

Friday, 10 February 2012

Pensions firm Hymans Robertson Glasgow has again shown its commitment to Cancer Support Scotland as it offers another kind donation to the Take Care Appeal.

Meeting with the charity’s corporate fundraising team this week, the staff at Hymans Robertson pledged a sum of £1,500 to contribute to the cost of new IT equipment and furnishings for the custom-renovated Calman Cancer Support Centre which is due to open this summer.

The significant contribution will help to create a warm and welcoming library and public space where visitors and clients are free to relax and spend time. It will also provide a peaceful and comfortable space where visitors to the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre will be free to pass time between appointments.

Cancer Support Scotland Chief Executive Colin Graham said: “This latest donation from Hymans Robertson Glasgow is most welcome and will be used to improve the client and visitor experience.

“We know through our own experience that a pleasant environment can make a massive difference to an individual’s wellbeing.

“We are very grateful for the on-going support of the staff at Hymans Robertson and hope this will continue into the future.”

Cancer Support Scotland must raise a total of £306,000 in order to make the move to the Calman Cancer Support Centre this summer.

The charity is seeking donations from individuals and organisations to fund the purchase a variety of items, including book stands for the Library Suite and massage tables for the therapy rooms.
