What is Chiropody?
Chiropody, also known as podiatry, is a field of healthcare devoted to the study, assessment and treatment of the foot, ankle, leg and hig (collectively known as the lower limb). Providing preventative care as well as treatment, chiropodists work with their patients to improve mobility, independence and quality of life.
What happens during a Chiropody treatment?
A Chiropody appointment will include an initial consultation, examination of the feet, followed by treatment of the feet. During the consultation the chiropodist will take your medical history, in addition to physical assessment.
What are the benefits of Chiropody?
We can take them for granted, but our feet are highly complex structures that can develop problems which may affect our overall health and well being. When you have problems with your feet, your whole body can feel unwell. Chiropody treatment helps to keep your body healthy, and furthermore helps keep people mobile and active.
