Today, and every day between now and Christmas, 82 people in Scotland will be told they have cancer. Show your support for those affected cancer by dedicating a ‘Message in a Bauble’ for our Christmas tree.

Simply make a donation by entering an amount below (suggested donation £24 - this will fund a one-to-one counselling session). You can then donate via your debit or credit card or pay pal account. Once you've donated you can enter a message to be written on a bauble for our Christmas tree and you can download a bauble for your own tree at home too.

Please help fill up our Christmas tree with lots of messages of love and hope.

You can also donate via cheque (made out to 'Cancer Support Scotland'), call us on 0141 337 8199 to pay over the phone or pop into our centre to donate by cash (Cancer Support Scotland Centre, 75 Shelley Road, Gartnavel Campus, Glasgow, G12 0ZE)

Why not join us at our Christmas Fayre in our centre from 5pm - 8pm on Thursday 8th December to see our Christmas tree lights being lit up by BBC weather presenter, Judith Ralston. Please click here for more details: www.cancersupportscotland.net/events/christmas-fayre/

Heel Appeal http://www.cancersupportscotland.net/heel-appeal/ http://www.cancersupportscotland.net/heel-appeal/#comments Mon, 03 Aug 2015 09:30:22 +0000 http://www.cancersupportscotland.net/?p=2056 Cancer Support Scotland’s bespoke sponsored walk event

*Heel Appeal 2016 will be held on Sunday the 20th March – register interest today!*

The Heel Appeal is Cancer Support Scotland’s sponsored walk event which takes the saying to “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes” literally. Take on the mile walk in memory of a loved one, as a personal challenge or just to join in with the fun!

The Heel Appeal was successfully launched in March 2015 with over 70 walkers raising £6,116 for our services and we had our first Heel Appeal Days held by Inchinnan Guild and SQA’s Glasgow office. Next year we hope to raise even more funds and awareness for Cancer Support Scotland so let us know if you want to join in! Check out last year’s Heel Appeal Pack here for more information.

Host a Heel Appeal Day in your school or workplace!

Join in with the fun and host a Heel Appeal Day in March (or any day in the year that suits you) in which pupils or work colleagues bring a £1 to donate to Cancer Support Scotland and wear the wackiest shoes they own! Host races, raffles and games to make a great day for everyone.

“The Heel Appeal was a great day. My daughter, sister and myself had a fab time; the atmosphere was brilliant and we would definitely do it again!” – Jacqui Spence

Register your interest now by emailing [email protected] or call 0141 337 8199.

Fancy yourself to be a Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood? Then this is the fundraiser for you!

Most days at the Cancer Support Scotland Centre revolve around a nice cuppa with some home-baking brought in by service users, staff and volunteers. We want your Chari-Tea Party to reflect that welcoming, community feel that we have at the Centre.

Need extra materials? Just click on the links below to download extra invites, blank posters and bunting!

Here are some great photos from SQA's Chari-Tea Party organised by young apprentices in June 2015. The chose to go for a fun Mad Hatters theme!
