36 brave Cancer Support Scotland fundraisers took on our zipwire challenge over the River Clyde on Sunday 19th April. It was a beautifully sunny morning so it was a lovely day for our zippers to see the riverside sights of Glasgow from high up.
Our courageous participants stepped off the 150ft tower beside the Finnieston Crane and zipped over towards the big crowd of friends and family who were there to cheer them on.
The zipwire lasts only 17 seconds but zippers can reach up to 40 mph in that time! Even the most nervous of zippers said they loved the experience after they had zipped from the Northside to the Southside of the river and remained on an adrenaline high long after they had their feet back on the ground. A fantastic £16,304 has been raised from this event so we would like to say a massive thank you to all of our heroic zippers who did so well to raise so much money for us at Cancer Support Scotland.
